2000 - 2010. A SHORT DECADE.

Tonight we are gonna celebrating not just a year's end, but a decade's end.It seems so close when we were partying and cheering the year 2000 (in Barcelona, Spain). So many things happened in ten years: too hard try to say something about how was that world and how is this one. Because of my personal history I feel truly nostalgic and decadent. My friends and I enjoyed so deeply our twenties: actually we think our lives started on around ten years ago. We turned onto adult age, turning down teenaging. Travels and experiences around the world, studying and getting degreed, learning new languages and new lifestyle, meeting new people and new loves, joy and disappointment. To me it was a unique long year. Today at 12.00 am a new decade is starting on, a new life is starting over. Have a holly jolly decade! 2000 - 2010.

NYC: FINGER FOOD? FINGER PAINTING!

The New Yorker is the most eminent magazine in the U.S.You can read and learn about literature, movies, arts and even politics every week on it.Its success secrets are on the right mix between its tradition and modernity (it was established in 1925).Since last spring, The New Yorker started to publish some interesting sketches by Jorge Colombo, a native portoguese artist that is able to draw with his IPhone using an application called Brushes. His drawings are truly original to me (and to The New Yorker readers). Have a look at this link and enjoy his art.How can be technology considered art?Can everybody become an artist just buying a brand new IPhone?

BERLUSCONI PUNCHED IN MILAN. A WONDERFUL DAY FOR MANY ITALIANS.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was punched early today in Milan after a speech. A man, called Massimo Tartaglia, with some psychological problems (as some people said) punched Berlusconi with a little Duomo' statue. Many Italians thought Berlusconi got what he deserves after 15 years saying bullshit about and around Italy. Tartaglia's hand was millions of Italians hand, hoping the "Cayman" will go home leaving alone desperate people are standig him since 1994. Big problem is the Left Party, called PD, is anything better than PDL, Berlusconi party, so we're without any possibility to get out this shitty situation in our country. Stay tuned.

AMANDA KNOX AND ENRICO FORTI.

American Mass Media are protesting against 26 years sentence for Amanda Know. Italian Perugia Court said Amanda was guilty of murder of Meredith Kercher, as well Raffaele Solletico, Knox's former boyfriend. Americans said Italian court has got a short mentality, basically scared of sex. I don't know if Amanda and Raffaele murdered poor Meredith, I only know there is an Italian man in Miami Dade County Jail, Chico Forti, charged of murdering without any proof. His trial was a joke, and American Justice seemed poorer than Italian. So far Chico has spent almost ten years in the cage, waiting for an other fair trial. Hillary Clinton said American government will take over Amanda's case, she better starts to review Chico's situation... www.chicoforti.com

LIVE AT POMPEII. PINK FLOYD.

One of the best gig ever in the most beautiful archaeological town in Italy: Pompeii. Pink Floyd performed on the Amphitheater in 1971, without crowd but with a French Television Crew. The final result was excellent, we can enjoy a movie made from that gig, dreaming of be there with four fabulous guys: Waters, Wright, Gilmour, Mason. Here you can listen at one sample taken from Youtube.

STEFANO CUCCHI, FEDERICO ALDROVANDI. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM?
It was a
typical Italian week: newspapers, TV, websites has given tremendous news about
our country.
Stefano
Cucchi, a young man 31 years old was found died after his detention by the
police: some pictures of his body are going online. He was wounded, probably
because of beating. An eye was destroyed, his back broken and all his body kind
of abused.
He was
stopped while he was walking down a park with 20 grams of marijuana. Parents
couldn’t see him for five days, before someone told them to go to the jail to
take his unlived cadaver.
Now Italian
MPs are trying to search the truth about was happened to this guy: journalists
and politicians are shocked about that. He wasn’t the first man whom died after
a arrest: four years ago Federico Aldrovandi (in the picture above) and his
family suffered the same cruel destiny. Federico was stopped by police officers and
he died after a few hours.
Italians
trust Police, and of course we need a trustful service from them. Unfortunately
it’s very complicated to make things clear when something so tremendous happens
between citizens and police. Police trade union is very strong and they don’t
accept any critics from the press.
Aldrovandi
and Cucchi were wrong, carrying a bit of drugs on them, but we’re all agreeing
that isn’t a fair reason to die.
Please have
a look at Federico Aldovrandi’s blog, written by his mother. http://federicoaldrovandi.blog.kataweb.it/

GIONATA SPINESI.

comodo. Avrei completato il pagamento del mutuo di casa, ho famiglia e
i soldi servono.

VALENTINO ROSSI, THE DOCTOR...9TH SIMPHONY.

Here we go, dear friends...Valentino Rossi a.k.a. The Doctor won another Moto GP Championship, the 9th since 1997. In details his triumphs: 1997 - 125 cc 1999 - 250 cc 2001 - 500 cc 2002 - MotoGp 2003 - MotoGp 2004 - MotoGp 2005 - MotoGp 2008 - MotoGp 2009 - MotoGp
In 14 years on his saddle Valentino won 9th Championship...plus 103 Gran Prix Pilots like Biaggi, Barros, Ukawa, Capirossi, Criville, Melandri, Gibernau, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Hayden, Stoner could compete just for the 2nd place. Also, The Doctor has been driving an official F1 Ferrari a several years ago, trying to make something impossible: be a champion on the motorbike and on a Formula 1. Yesterday, just few minutes after his victory he said he is ready to drive a Ferrari again, but this time not to joke but to win!
Of course his career wasn't always fair: he seemed bumptious around 2004 and 2005. Without competitive opponents he started to be so unpleasent, even with his MotoHome Honda. Two years without Championship (Hayden and Stoner made a good job...) gave him back a determination and humilty: Valentino recovered his self love and started to be more friendly with press and opponents, putting away his "stone face" and being definitly more mature, a man. In Italy his popularity was huge, untill the 2007, when the Italian Tax Agency checked his bank account and tell out Valentino made a fraud for 60 EuroMillions. He paid back (apparently...) to recover his angel face and love by Italians supporters. Anyway, Valentino Rossi is a legend inside Sport World, surely he deserve a place in the hall of fame of Sport, and maybe is the best Italian sportman ever!

ROBERTO SAVIANO, THE NEXT NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.

There is an Italian writer and journalist, Roberto Saviano, whom can win that prize Obama won yesterday. Saviano is internationally famous for his book "Gomorrah" where he's studied Neapolitan Mafia, Camorra. That book is very clear explaining the "Camorra System", too clear for the mafiosi. Since there Saviano has to be covered by bouncers and bodyguards to avoid someone attempts his life. His imagine now symbolize a virtuous Italy, that doesn't resign against odds and corruption: that's an exception in this beautiful country. From the book was given a movie too: the title is the same "Gomorrah". I'd candidate Saviano for the important prize while in Italy there is committee trying to push Silvio Berlusconi for the award. Obviously clever people are laughing at that idea, and the same Nobel Committee probably thinks Berlusconi is not able at all to achieve something different from his businness. Saviano gave Italy a chance to regulate his dark past and present and to look at the future with bravery and dignity.

OBAMA NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. THE DREAM IS GOING ON.

This morning Europe woke up hearing a good new: President Obama win Nobel Peace Prize. It is a good new although some journalist or politician got critic about that. Obama's imagine power is still strong, nine months from his election as a president: he is the first black president of USA, and it's enough to get this Nobel peace prize. He is a symbol of ages of struggling against odds and slavery. I think Swedish comittee wanted to say to the world: "We trust this man, his election and his country". It is a way to disagree with his predecessor, George W. Bush, and his policy and on the other hand a way to keep on supporting this man from Chicago that gave a dream to the whole world. I'm with him! Congratulations Mr. President!

OLIMPICS GAMES 2016: THE WINNER IS RIO DE JANEIRO.

Copenhagen, October,2, 2009. For the 1st time in the history, Olimpics Games are going to South America. Rio de Janeiro, the most famous city of Brazil, was awarded to host the event. The Brazilians won against important city like Chicago, Tokyo and Madrid. Rio was the second favorite for the bookmakers. Chicago was the first one but despite of it, it was the first eliminated by the IOC members (Chairmaned by Jacques Rogge). For the second time in a row Madrid was disappointed by the same IOC: five years ago the lost against London despite of a superb bid, and tonight the history is repeating. Here in details the ballots results: First stage: Madrid 28, Rio 26, Tokyo 20, Chicago 18. Second stage:
Rio 46, Madrid 29, Tokyo 22. Final stage: Rio 66, Madrid 32. Good luck Rio!

WHAT BBC THINKS ABOUT OIL IN ABRUZZO.

Article taken from BBC.co.uk
Warmed by the sun, the famous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes are
slowly sweetening in vineyards that slope gently towards the sea. It
seems an unlikely scene for a battle.Yet the fight over the
future of this tiny patch of land in central Italy symbolises the
conflict between the country's need for energy and its goal - affirmed
once more at the G8 summit in the same region - to reduce its use of
carbon-based fuels and protect the environment. Italy is one of
the most energy-dependent states within the G8 - importing at least 80%
of its oil and gas needs. It sources some 7% of its energy needs from
oilfields within Italy, and the Abruzzo region is believed to have
untapped supplies beneath its mountains, olive groves and beaches.
In the coastal town of Ortona, the struggle between an oil giant,
local politicians and entrepreneurs on the one hand and web-savvy
campaigners, residents and agriculturalists on the other over plans for
an oil refinery in the middle of a prime, wine-producing land has
reached a tense stalemate. Walking along a white-pebbled beach
lined by dense bamboo, Elga Tenaglia, a campaigner in her 30s, gestures
out across the Adriatic Sea. "I see these cargo ships - oil
ships, I call them - and it disturbs me," she says. "Before, when I saw
the sea I could breathe, I could relax. Not any more. Now I see them
and it makes me think that things are about to change." From wine to oil For
years, the Italian oil giant ENI - one of the biggest firms in the
country - has invested in this region, uncovering potential oil
reserves off the coast and inland.
Campaigners from the conservation group WWF claim that now 50% of
the region is being explored for oil - right to the edge of its vast
national parks, home to a rare species of bear. Just a few
miles up the coast from the beach, ENI - in which the government holds
a 30% golden share - has bought some 12 hectares of prime vineyard. Supported
by local politicians and businessmen keen to bring much-needed
investment to the region, they chose this site to build an oil centre.
It was, according to local officials, to be a desulphurisation plant,
the first stage of purifying and filtering crude oil. Oil on ice Down
a bumpy track between rows of vines that overlook the sea, I find Lina,
a 60-year-old farmer who sold some of her land to the oil company.
Spray-painted to the wall of a store in the middle of the vineyard
there is a message, telling ENI to "get out". But, she tells
me, she was under no pressure to sell her land, that it was a
collective decision made by the farmers. "They say it's bad, this oil
centre. Is it bad? They're not going to build it now, are they?" she
asks, confused.
In May, ENI did indeed quietly announce that it would not go ahead
with the Ortona plant. The news came as it announced plans to invest in
the nearby University of L'Aquila - the city devastated by April's
earthquake. It pledged to look into the viability of building a
heating plant, partly fuelled by biomass and "based on rigorous
environmental sustainability standards" near the town. But, so far, despite repeated requests, it has refused to clarify its future plans for the Ortona site. For
the mayor of the town of Ortona, with a population of 23,000 and a
faltering tourism industry, the company's decision to put the project
on ice is a disaster. I meet Nicola Fratino under the clock of
the small town's main square, as swallows dive overhead. He doesn't
hide his fury at how a project he worked on for years has disappeared
into thin air. "It's a tragedy for this town," he says. "We've
chased away the 16th largest corporation in the world from this region,
we've said no to a company that wanted to invest 600 million euros
here, we've lost 1,000 jobs and entrepreneurs like myself - and
hundreds of others - are going to suffer massively." Allegations Campaigners
allege that a firm linked to Mr Fratino, called Bonefra, stood to gain
directly from ENI's presence in the region. They claim he won two
contracts worth a total of more than one million euros from ENI. It is
a claim he denies. ENI has refused to comment on the allegations. "First
of all, I'm a shareholder, not a CEO of the firm. Bonefra - a company
which, by the way, I only hold shares in, I'm not the CEO, never got a
single contract - not for a million euros, not even... Listen, we took
part in about 50 bids and I think we might have won one to manage the
transfer of goods in the port for about four or five thousands euros,
no more."
He said the plant would have brought valuable jobs to the region, as
well as the massive investment the oil firm would have made to
compensate for the environmental impact. He even expresses
grudging admiration for the work of campaigners - spearheaded by
Italo-American physicist Maria-Rita d'Orsogna - whose flurry of blog
postings, video clips and public meetings succeeded in raising public
awareness of the project. But why, I ask Ms Tenaglia, should
Italy's pretty countryside be spared this fate for other places in the
world to supply the country's energy needs? "The other day I
read that they were going to build a refinery in the middle of the
rainforest. And I thought - why am I complaining about what is
happening here, in Abruzzo?" she says. "But this oil, it'll be
here for 20 years and then what? When it is over there won't be a
future - no sea, no hills, no green. That's it. I don't want that - not
for me but not for anyone else either. I'd fight this battle anywhere."
